MAC OS 10. 5. 5

   pushd $ (DEV) / usr / bin 
   ln-s ranlib arm-apple-darwin9-ranlib 
   popd

Compiler error message: 

ranlib: unknown option:-static 
Usage: ranlib [-sactfqLT] [-] archive [...] 
make [2]: *** [../lib/libpj-i386-apple- 
darwin9.5.0.a] Error 1 
make [1]: *** [pjlib] Error 2 
make: *** [all] Error 1 


In my opinion are ln-s ranlib arm-apple-darwin9-ranlib caused the error 
How to solve?
